Wedding Shoot

May 19, 2012

Our Wedding Photography class scheduled a mock wedding shoot at TPC Valencia.

Our lovely models were Nico Sidorakis, Alicia Ceroni, and Katie Ruther.

Mr. Tim Melideo brought props for the whole class. He even set up a table complete with table settings. =)

Everyone in class had 12 minutes to work with Nico and Alica and another 10 minutes to work with Alica. We second shoot for each other the rest of the time.

I brought pastries as props. My friend, Favian, made them. He’s a pastry chef. Fancy. Lol

Enjoy the photographs!

Final Portfolio: Photo 210 Wedding Photography

May 22, 2012

Our Wedding Photography class is almost over,

and for our final assignment we need to post 15+ of our best images we took for the class.

We had a total of five assignments: Natural Lighting, Artificial Lighting, Alternative Composition, a Mock Engagement Shoot, and a Mock Wedding Shoot.

I learned a lot of new concepts in the class. It was so much fun! Also, I have the best classmates ever. Lol

Thank you for all the LightRoom lessons, Tim (our cool photo professor)!

Here is his website: http://sweetlittlephotographs.com/

And here are my favorite images I took for the semester. =)

The class was divided into two groups (Group A & Group B). Each group was assigned with a couple. Everyone in the group had 10-15 minutes to work with the couple.

I was in Group A.

Nico Sidorakis and Alicia Ceroni were our awesome models.

Theolo and Florence-Joy

March 24, 2012

I had the chance to photograph this lovely couple for their wedding website.

It was easy to photograph them because they were very cooperative (when TL is not goofing off). LOL

Flo and TL are getting married in Philippines on June 21, 2012.

They’re one of the main reasons why I’m going home. Hehe.

Photo Assignment: Portraits (Natural Light)

February 25, 2012

This photo assignment was for our PHOTO210: Wedding Photography class.

We were asked to take portraits using only natural light.

I asked my brother, PJ, to help me with this assignment because I can boss him around, and he can’t complain because I’m older than him.

He was such a trooper.

Here is my gorgeous brother.

Road Trip: Big Sur and Monterey

February 19, 2012

It was a four-day-weekend, and these kinds of holidays don’t come by that often,

so naturally, me and my friends would go on a road trip of some sort.

The first plan was to go see the Grand Canyon, but because of the lack of preparation, we forgot to check the weather forecast.

It turned out it was going to snow that day. We weren’t prepared for that kind of weather. We only had the clothes on our backs.

We turned the car around and headed for the coast.

Our destination: Big Sur, CA and Monterey, CA (via Pacific Coast Highway)

We probably took 20-30 stops to take these photographs. The view was breathtaking anywhere we looked.

Road Trip: Santa Barbara and Solvang

January 03, 2012

This is the first adventure of the year!

Karen, Laura, and I headed to Santa Barbara, CA for a road trip.

I was the assigned driver. Everything was going smoothly until we missed our exit. Laura was our navigator, but she got distracted by a rusty satellite. We had to turn around, and after we passed 6 exits we found Garden Street.

It doesn’t stop there. l I accidentally drove on a one-way street going the opposite direction.

Image the screaming and panic in the car when I mentioned to Karen and Laura what I just did. HAHAHAHA!

Right after the incident, they asked me to park and Karen took the wheel from me. Lol.

After we calmed our nerves and had lunch, we headed to Santa Barbara Mission.

Cupcakes for Dessert

November 29, 2011

Our Photo 295: Portfolio Professor assigned everyone with a magazine to shoot for. Hypothetically, I was assigned with Real Simple magazine.

Mr. Noah Webb asked me to photograph food.

Shooting food was particularly difficult for me because I’ve never tried it before. Although, I was still excited about the shoot.

I like this assignment a lot because I got play around with lights.

I like dessert, so chose to photograph cupcakes. I got to eat them afterwards (that was the best part).

Special thanks to: Tifanny and Darene for the cupcakes!

These are the photos I showed in class for the critique.

Natural History Museum

August 8, 2011

It was a sunny Wednesday afternoon, my friends and I planned on seeing the Tim Burton exhibit

at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Unfortunately, we didn’t check their schedule before heading there,

and it turned out the museum is closed on Wednesdays. Since we were already at LA, we figured we might as well go look for another museum we could go to.

We stumbled upon the Natural History Museum.
